Jane's Backyard Chickens: Birdwatching

Goldfinches

I cannot believe it! I spotted a pair of Goldfinches at the thistle feeder today!

I have been trying to attract them for some time now.

The feeder and river count has been high the last few days. I have seen:
One pair of Black Headed Grosbeaks
One pair of American Goldfinches
One male and one baby Hairy Woodpecker
One mail Downy Woodpecker
One immature flicker and one adult male
One Red breasted Nuthatch
One Brown Creeper
Several Robins, Rufous sided Towhees and Steller's Jays

Countless Blacked Capped Chickadees, Chestnut Backed Chickadees, Dark Eyed Juncos and Bushtits

One adult Bald Eagle
One Great Blue Heron
One pair of Wood Ducks
Female American Merganser with about 9 babies that seemed to be about a week old.

Several adult Anna's and Rufous Hummingbirds and some young

The non bird sightings were three Douglas Squirels, 5 Grey Squirels and two bunnies

It's been a very exciting week!
