Jane's Backyard Chickens: Wacky Chicken Behavior
I can't believe it
Beulah caught and killed a mole. Or at least she tried to. It was a baby, about 2 1/2" long excluding tail.
She was pecking it and throwing it against the ground when Margarate stole it and a chase started. I tried to take pictures but I couldn't keep up with them. Margarate eventually won and finished off the kill and ate it!!!
I am new to chicken keeping and I had no idea that they would do something like that. Afterwards they were both back at the original site looking for more.
